More life to live

Four years ago we cried,
Cried for the young man murdered by his brother,
Three years ago we cried,
Cried for the kid who had ended his own life,
One year ago we cried,
Cried for the young man that lost the faith to carry on,
Last month we cried,
Cried for the quiet kid whose life was taken in malice.
Violence and hatred corrupts our halls,
People walk past with their head down,
"Does no one care" I scream until my voice cracks
But it seems as if that flew over their heads too.
Five years and four men,
When will enough be enough,
My school is suffocating in the tears and anger for our fallen, but still we make the same mistakes.
Today I cried,
I cried for the condition of my community,
I cried for the redemption of my peers,
And I cried for the death of our young,
As they sleep peacefully in their graves.
