More Like Little Red
Once upon a time,
There was a kid under a hood.
He wasn't wearing red,
and he wasn't in the woods.
As a matter of fact,
The woods was much safer,
tonight's hood was closely watched by one neighbor.
On this summer night,
He went to go get some snacks,
candy and iced tea was enough,
so he then headed back.
Unfortunately for him,
it was already too late.
The wolf was locked in,
and decided his new fate.
What happened next?
That depends on who you ask.
The wolf was injured,
But he completed his task.
As for the boy in the hood,
he didn't complete much more.
The candy, the drink, high school,
let alone the trip back from the store.
That's the whole story.
The big bad wolf,
and a young one dead.
Which makes me wonder,
Would this story be different if Trayvon looked more like little red?
Something wrong with this poem?
