More Than May Be Thought

Awesome.

What is awesome? 

The Friday Movie-Pizza Nights that excite the evening?

Saturday Mornings that consist of sleeping in?

What about the occasional rainy evening that gives the land a scent of freshness?

It could be the joy in eating a warm funnel cake with the right amount of powdered sugar,

Possibly even taking a quick nap that refuels all the energy needed for the upcoming week.

Or...

How about the One and Only who makes all those kind of enjoyable moments possbile and

everyday of life all the worth while..

Jesus Christ.

Let me back the story up just a bit.

We alone are sinners.

Every single one of us have broken one of the ten commndments, God's Holy Law.

Every single one of us deserve God's wrath, a place in the Lake of Fire.

But there is good news.

God sent His only son.

Jesus Christ.

He was crucfied, died, and was buried.

He was holy and sinless, yet chose to face crucifixion in order for man to be saved.

His love, mercy, and grace allow us to be saved.

He breaks our chains and saves us from the wrath of God.

Jesus Christ.

In this uncondtional love, Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

Through repetance (turning from sin), having true sorrow in our heart, asking for forgiveness,

and through faith, we are saved.

We get to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

We don't get punished with what we do deserve, but forever a place in heaven with what we don't

deserve.

What is truly awesome?

Sinless and Holy, yet humble and loving.

Jesus Christ died on a cross, the symbol of God's justice and love.

And through this, savation has come,

undeservedly and lovingly.

Now that is truly awesome.
