More is Never Enough

Praise.

It's just another empty phrase,

that carries a little too much wieght.

But when you feel empty,

you want to feel worthy.

You need someone to tell you how great you are,

how amazing, you're a star!

You think it is a remedy for your broken heart,

really you're just poking at the bruise

and rubbing salt into the wound.

But insecurity,

tells you that you need it.

So, you strive and you strive for it.

You would bleed for it,

Beg on your knees for it,

'till there is nothing left of you!

You'd trade everything about yourself- just to get a little bit more and more of it,

then you find out in th end, that more is never enough

You got plans to crawl your way to the top,

' cause you think then, you'll finally feel like you're enough,

and you will,

well, until someone says one bad word and shakes your whole world up.

Don't you know that kind of love,

it isn't stable?

But you've heard that a thousand times before, you just never listen to the fables.

Insecurity,

tells you that you need it.

So, you strive and you strive for it.

You would bleed for it,

Beg on your knees for it,

'till there is nothing left of you!

You'd trade everything about yourself- just to get a little bit more and more of it,

then you find out in th end, that more is never enough

When I look at myself, I don't feel like I'm beautiful.

I don't feel like my life is full.

What did I care for?

I don't remember any more.

There's no truth left in my heart,

'cause I let this crave of attention, pull me into the dark.

But insecurity,

told me that I need it.

So, I strove and I strove for it.

I've bled for it,

Begged on my knees for it,

'till there was nothing left of me!

I traded everything about myself- just to get a little bit more and more of it,

then I found out in th end, that more is never enough

But still, I can not find the strength to give it up.
