Morning

Rain trickles from the black, clay shingles,

and lands into the flowing steam.

Innocent tadploes swim with freedom,

for they know no other world, yet.

Birds sing to each other,

soon harmonies fill the crisp air.

Brumal winds add a legato rhythm,

and the bamboo begins to dance.

Light fights to be seen,

but patience relieves her and she will try again

tomorrow.

As her rustic gears turn,

you know,

she's awake.
