THIS MORNING

THIS MORNING

this morning I felt pre-set;

where my thoughts were bare,

and feelings elsewhere;

of contemplating there

of when it arrives,

of yesterday’s thoughts

for they made sense,

once down on paper.

so, what I need to be

is of today,

and to overcome

my morning of flat,

for this don’t go away

it seems to stay,

and it is mostly

my early morn mate,

which they say

is my depressive friend,

and where I am at

first time of day for me;

so, hopefully am I,

my day is not all bare;

but of hopes, dreams

and schemes,

and setting goal posts.
