That Morning


The sky had been

as in the world of

happy children.

More birds had sung

 

that morning.

The breeze had

played lovingly

with the leaves.

There had been a

gentleness in the

air,

enhancing the

beauty of the flowers.

 

And you had

stayed in bed!
