Mortal Comparison

The painter's wheel holds no place for exclusion,

lest the piece remain forever unfinished,

for lack of a hue or two.

The clock remains accepting of all,

focused only on what is next to come,

with no time to waste.

The song welcomes all wavelengths,

with every note holding a place,

imagination and enjoyment run free.

Death takes all things,

from the smallest creature to galaxies,

all embrace the cycle whether willing or not.

And yet human beings foolishly divide,

when unity would be far stronger,

instead of dischord with the nature of all things.

Embrace the human color,

for as long as it lasts,

and our story will be a beautiful melody,

that will remain.
