"Mortal Wounds"
I'm looking back at
mortal wounds
Trapped in a space
That no longer
Needs my
Face.
Chase the Bold and Beautiful
For a glimpse at Heaven,
Nevertheless I confess
The load that we hold
makes us want to fold.
As Dreams turn into nightmares
So long as Empathy leads
to Sympathy
This life a chaotic Symphony
Nothing left to choose
Still baring burdens of lot
I didn't choose.
Started at the bottom
Of my Lungs
As my verses
Yell curses at fate
While at the tree
Of life
The Soul is at
The Threshold
With holes
So deep
Even the Reaper
Can't Sleep.
Hermes lectures
don't equate
with natural Eyes
Of correspondences.
Traveling and seeking
The path of least Resistance
Yet existence is
Reminiscent of
The Divine Comedy
Sometimes I swear
Zeus laughs at
You and me
Mankind living
In Tragedy's
Vice Grip's.
