Mortality

Another death has came upon the city.
So add the death to tally up the number of casualties in the world.
But wait before you add that tally don't just add it to the random deaths of society.
Add it to the ones that really fulfilled their purpose in the world.
The ones that lived life to their full extent.
Let's close the casket and give our final goodbyes.
But before we close I have a question to ask.
Is it wrong that all emotions was void until halfway threw the funeral?
Is it sad that I was emotionless and really had not one memory of the the body that's resting in that casket?
I understand that you suppose to feel something but I feel nothing.
Maybe it's because this is my first real funeral.
If I would have went to Jackie's I would have knew.
Knew what it's like to see a body laying in casket.
But here is my confession
I wasn't feeling emotions for the person in the casket today I was feeling emotions for Jackie the person funerals I didn't have a chance to go too.
I sometimes think that if I would have went to her funeral I wouldn't be so afraid to look at a body in a casket.
A body so still, lifeless, and cold
I had more emotions because I saw Jackie in the casket.
Now I am wrong.
Shedding a couple tears to someone that already passed.
But I still give my condolences to the family in mourning and others.
Now it's time to bow our heads in prayer.
May the lost souls of The Lord forever rest in paradise.
But still I ask is this how her funeral was?
