Mortality

I will die for you my love
But I will not live
For you bring out such a passion from me
A person who has never felt such a horrid thing
I am a person who thinks, not feels
But here I am
Exposed
For you, my love
Exposed like a new born babe
Exposed like the surface skin to the sun
Layers upon layers do I shed
For you to see
To see me
I want to bury myself
Bury myself not in the Earth
But in you, my love
Only you
Because I love you so
So much that I wish I didn’t
Because now I am weak, vulnerable
For I am no longer a god
Merely Human
