The Most Dangerous Weapon

Some would say that the world's greatest weapons are

guns and nukes

but guns and nukes are temporary

BOOM! BOP! suddenly you're gone

hate is the greatest weapon of all

hate evolved into slavery, evolved into jim crow,

evolved into mass incarceration, evolved into blackface,

evolved into nine people losing their lives in the sacred place.

Hate has a superpower: it's invisible

Hate is our doctors, our teachers, our law enforcement, our senators,

our presidents.

Hate is just so damn angry

it never finds peace

its passed down from generation to generation

like a nasty old disease

Hate is mine,

yours,

his,

her,

our greatest enemy
