Most Definitely Sleeping Beauty

Maleficent gets revenge on the king

by placing a curse on his daughter.

When Aurora turns sixteen,

she will fall into eternal slumber.

Day by day,

night by night,

Maleficent waits

for Aurora to grow older.

On Aurora's sixteenth,

her father throws the grandest festival of them all.

Not to celebrate her sixteenth,

but to say goodbye.

Because there aren't any spindles

to prick her finger on.

Maleficent made it so

Aurora would simply close her eyes.

No spindles.

No true love's kiss.

Only eternal slumber

In Aurora's new abyss.
