Mother

I could not live without me Mother,

Without her loving embrace,

Without her constant nagging,

Or the smile on her face.

She's the one that I run to,

When my life gets all too hard.

She's the one makes me smile,

Even after I'd been scarred.

She's my inspiration,

For all that she's gone through.

She never let me see her cry,

Instead, she'd say "I'll take care of you"

She's the one to ground me,

When my pride gets in the way.

She's the one who makes things fun,

She's not all work, no play.

She's the shoulder that I cry on,

And my cheerleader in the stands.

She's the friend I spill my secrets to,

And I'd put my life in her hands.
