Mother

From a young age

we are taught as girls

to have faith in our mothers lessons.

Mothers teach to curl,

to cook,

to love,

to behave as girls.

However,

my mother taught me none of these.

My mother taught me to lie,

to steal,

to abuse,

to hate,

to cry.

Most of all,

Mother taught me goodbye.
