mother

Mother,

You abandoned me.

You hold me to blame

For your pain,

For your misery.

If only you could see,

You are tearing me apart,

Breaking me down

Piece by piece.

Do i remind you

Of all your past mistakes?

You load it all on me,

Im struggling,

I can't hold all this weight.

Feeling alone and used.

Do you blame yourself

For me being abused?

This empty house

Screams with its silence.

You should be proud

I did not turn out like him,

And run to violence.

I would have thought

That you would love me.

I would have thought

That you’d support me.

Straight A student,

Captain of the soccer team,

What more do you want from me?

All i want from you

Is to see my worth,

But i guess you

Only see me at my worst.

You were once my family,

But now you have gone against me.

Trying to take me to court,

You have become my enemy.
