Mother

***For those who have suffered through Natural Disasters***

Ocean of blue,

Blood of red.

Laying within

Mother Earth’s bosom

On grassy beds.

Music of birds

Calling to our souls.

Our fingers entwined,

Once again we’re whole.

Fire’s flames

Licking at our palms;

Spirits dancing

As we sing their songs.

Winds whispering

Words they once said,

“Live to the fullest,

Until you’re dead”
