Mother

She does everything for us

Never stopping

Always moving

Not for herself

But for her children

She goes to work

And uses what little money she makes

On her children

This cycle

Does not end

Everyday

It continues

She does not stop

And doesn’t believe she can

Or wants to

Her love for us

Is like the sun everyday

It never stops rising

It continues its cycle

Unfailing

What do I repay her with?

I have no job

No money to compensate

All I can do for now

Is love her

As she has loved me all these years

She does what she can

And for that mother

I must give you thanks

And the promise

That one day

I will do for you

As you have done for me
