Mother
(poems go here)
Thought you'd be here forever,
But I guess God had a better plan.
Now we're coming together bowing heads,
and holding hands.
And all I’m left with is the memories of you & me.
Tears are coming down my face, cause he took what meant most to me.
Memory so vivid, I could never forget the day.
Mind spinning out of control, as I watched the ambulance take you away.
Searching for answers and all I get is silence.
Searching for you and all I see is absence.
Life without you has been hard.
Afraid to feel again, I put my heart on guard.
they can never understand.
they think i can't see, so they take my hand.
They tell me, “everything’s ok".
But wait till they face the day.
The day, where their sunny days.
Turn into cloudy gray.
When the tears start to fall harder,
maybe then, they'll know what it feels like to lose your mother.
