Mother Earth
Dear Mother,
i want to start off by apologizing for the way you've been treated
i'm sorry we've ripped magnificent trees out of your rich soil,
our malls could never compare to the beauty you have built on your own
i'm sorry your lungs are polluted and filled with smoke,
i know it's not the same breathtaking feeling you give us
i'm sorry we've tortured and mutilated your creatures for our own selfish reasons,
no living thing should be treated like an object or labeled as a "trophy"
no matter the destruction and abuse you endure
you will always be the most beautiful, magical and rare
don't ever forget that you are the love of my life and the defintion of home
there isn't anyone or anything that could change the adoration i have towards you
i will continue to fight for you and speak the words you cannot say,
for you are my mother, his mother and her mother,
you are our mother and i thank you for giving us the greatest gifts of all,
life
Sincerely,
one of your many, many children
