Mother Nature

Why should we care

if Mother Nature is riddled with litter?

Why should we care

if her nurturing rivers are blackened?

Why should we care

if her bountiful mountains are destroyed?

Why should we care

if her eyes are clouded with smoke?

She takes every one of her children

and drags them back into the ground.

Without warning, her screeching winds

and evil epidemics spread to her children.

Does she really care

if her trees are cut, if her grass is dried?

Does she really care

about the harm she has undone to us?
