Mother of No Child
A want, a need, a longing.
An eagerness, a loneliness,
I cry for, I'd die for.
To hold, to love a forbidden bliss
A warmth just out of reach,
A mind to mold, a mind to teach.
Will I know how it feels,
To be the one who nurtures,
To be the one who heals?
For now I wait alone in a corner
In shadow and in pain,
to long for a blind love
and wallow in the freezing rain.
To yearn for sounds of light pitter patter,
breaks a glass heart
leaving nothing but for it to shatter
on the day I fall apart.
Surrounded by others who know the fodness it holds
tourtues my soul,
Leaving me ridged like a chunck of coal.
Feeling as if trapped in a cement room
screaming for the words to be heard
but left only with an empty womb and a sickening silence in return.
Left to be a mother of no child.
