Mother of Two

A young mom at the grocery store
one child crying,
the other sleeping,
her phone is ringing,
tears welling up,
and bags under her eyes.
She is stressed, tired, and embarrassed.

She is still dressed in work clothes
tear stains on the front.
Her feet sore from the heels,
her arms tired from holding her baby.
Despite it all,
she looks down at her children,
one sleeping in the cart
the other crying on her chest.
She doesn't look of stress or lack of sleep
but of love.
