Mother wolf

I see you, mother wolf

giving life sustaining lessons thru your milk

and i understand you

i know of the skills you teach your young

and the expecations you have for them

my own mother wolf has given me lessons

and i wish i had listened

as i went into the deep forest

unprepared for life ahead

I am 17 years old and am a novice story writer and poet. I have participated in a number of poetry slams before, and my poems always bring smiles to my listeners. I hope they bring a smile to your face as well.
