Motherhood

Everytime I feel like

I’m fully healing

You open another wound

Aren’t you suppose to heal me your my mother

Aren’t you suppose to love me I’m daughter

Can’t remember the last time you said You loved me

I’ve never received apologies

I’ve never received affection

I always wondered if you see yourself through me

Like all the battles I deal with are simply a reflection of your personal DNA

Yes I get you’ve had a traumatic childhood

So did I

You put me through it

Does it make it right to continue the cycle

Women of power you heal everyone around you

I never understood

I’ve never understood my mother is a therapist

I’ve never understood

I found your notebooks and photos

You hide under a vail

You hide your emotions

Mother or birth mom

In this new journey you will take

Remember you didn’t want me to find out you were getting married

But you want me a part of this wedding

So you can hold me up like a fake advertisement sign

“This is my daughter” “we get along just great”

No

It’s sad to say but my parents have put me through everything

Your my biggest down fall
