mothers

She goes off to work

Almost every single day

She comes back sooner or later

But Mostly it’s late

She works all the time

She’s almost never home

She does it for us

But it leaves us alone

She gives up so much

She gets out so little

But as the days go on

She becomes more and more brittle

Slowly deteriorating

Worried about us

She gives us everything

But she's given too much

She needs to rest

Not worry about today

Because tomorrow will come

We’ll make sure we can pay
