A Mother's Angel

What does it mean to be a mother?
Until you are one,
The experience can not be explained in words.
The excitement in her heart,
The twinkle at the edges of her eyes,
The curve of her smiling lips,
Speak of the person growing in her.
Only a mother knows which angel is blessing her.

A mother knows no age and no limits
When it comes to protecting her child
From the evils of the world
Well before it comes to mother earth.
The identity of her child’s father
No longer haunts her,
For her child is the angel who will protect her
From all evils.

However, when a mother is snatched of the right to her unborn child,
No power can keep her from the revenge
Of losing a piece of her.
No power can tell her “you are not worthy”
Because her poisonous answer of “YOU are not worthy”
Shakes the soul of evil
And leaves them shamed and tamed.
A mother’s pain surfaces
When her child is snatched.
She forces a smile
When her child lies at heaven’s doorstep,
Awaiting her.

What does it mean to be a mother?
Until you are one,
The experience can not be explained in words.
The excitement in her heart,
The twinkle at the edge of her eyes,
The curve of her smiling lips,
Speak of the person growing in her.
Only a mother knows which angel is blessing her
And awaiting her at heaven’s doorstep.
