Mothers Day

What list exists which might decree

All that has been done for me?

In the dark, before a single memory

I had a name and love and a family.

Storms yet came; weathered and tore

Biting along a rough domestic shore.

But even then and long before.

No one's ever loved us more.

The patience it takes to teach another

(escpecially the girls and both our brothers)

Involves a special kind of love for others.

The kind that only comes from mothers.

Now what list exists which might decree

All that has been done for me?

No such novel will come to be.

So we can only love you constantly.
