A Mother's Love

her hair is long

her eyes green

behind her smile

suffering is seen

her hands are shaky,

for they have stood the test of time

I am my mother's daughter

and I am blessed to call her mine

her body is not what it once was

she struggles to hide the grey

as an infant, she cared for me

knowing that some day..

her soul would grow tired

and soon the end would come

she would leave this world in peace,

knowing all that I have done

There is no way to repay the price of a mother's love,

but to be there, in her honor

when the Lord calls her above

My family
