Motivation

Dear Self,

You get little to no sleep at night

And you constantly enter this depressive stage of your life

Where you have little to no motivation to do anything.

You zone out, and forget to do important things

    You think way too much

And let your thoughts control you.

    You have serious trust issues

Which causes you to keep this wall up

And handle your issues on your own.

You shut down for long periods of time

    And become "stand-off ish"

Not to be rude or anti-social

But to pick yourself back up.

    You keep to yourself

And have an "unapproachable look on your face"

That, combined with your blunt attitude

Can cause people to think you're a bitch.

    But you're not a bitch

    You just like space.

And there is nothing wrong with your unapproachable look

    Or your blunt attitude.

And so what if you're consistently tired?

And you've learned to pick yourself up after your depressive period.

You can't allow that to bring you down.

You have things to do girl

    Goals to accomplish

And a certain lifestyle to live.

You've gotten too far to quit on yourself now

    "Bitch" "Rude" "Distant" "Forgetful"

    "Anti-Social" "Mysterious" "Lazy" "Heartless"

    Let them talk

You owe no one an explanation for the things you do

    Or the things you say

Because at the end of the day

You're gonna get to your goals in life.

    You got this
