motorcross

The sun has just peaked over the horizon.

Rays of light strike the metal on bikes standing in the warm summer breeze.

All around bikes stand, waiting for action.

people gear up; gloves, boots, helmets, chest protectors, and knee gaurds.

Mounting their bikes, racers wait in anticipation for the starting flag.

Heart is pounding, hands are sweating, minds are racing, and the flag is thrown.

One starting kick and bikes come to life rumbling with power.

Sounds of roaring engines whizz past you on the tracks.

 Excitement flows through your blood.

adrenaline pumpng through your veins, as fast as a cheetah and as light as a feather you feel.

Over jumps you fly, passing riders and spraying dirt as you slide with ease around corners.

People are cheering yet the only sound you hear is the blood rushing through your head.

Staying focused you grip the handles tightly shifting gears and riding fast around trees and other riders.

Exctiment is there as you pass the finish line with victory showing on your face.

motorcross is fun, motorcross is tough, but feeling that rush of energy makes you want to do it all over again.
