The Mountain Climber

When I write short stories,
The time has come to start the track
How to write this rocky idea
Every thought rising to the occasion

Mounds of words pilling up
Oh no! I have to pull them together
Using all my concentration to write on
Now the words are back
They start to fall into place
All my words permanent on the page
It's the best work yet
No mistake this will be a classic

Coming to the end there's a bolder in my way
Lost motivation to finish the story
If I push a little harder I may make it to the end
My mind hurts, how should it end?
Bliss, the story is complete
Everything is beautiful
Relax the wonderful story is finished
