Mountain Series: 27 June 2016

The Bargain: And that was the worst part of being a writer. There are so many moments taht take your breath away, but the beauty steals your words. Poof, gone. The bargain. You want to write down the feeling of this moment, but lack the ability. Beauty gives you the moment, but steals the language. The ultimate bargain. So cherish those moments, be selfish and hold onto them for yourself.

And the sky exploded. The clouds roamed low in the gold and pink hue of the air. Rough and ominious, the clouds laughed at her awe in them. Young girl, do you not know the power of the sky? He knows your entire journey, he completes it by entertaining the juvenile mind with abstract thoughts only he can understand. So stare in awe little ones, for father sky and mother moon will protect you in this vast chaos.

The mountains rejoiced when she came home to them. For she was theirs, and she would lie in their embrace until eternity.

She was a split mountain. Her soul was the tranquil Smokies, yet her mind was as fierce and sangerous as the Rockies.

This series is a reflection about making myself vulnerable by publishing a writing blog. This was the scariest moment of my life. I rarely speak outloud let alone share my creative thoughts. I have grown so much as a person and a soul by making myself vulnerable with my creative writing.
