Mountains

The mountains surround me.

They hold my tears, pain and fears.

The mountains wrap around me.

They make me feel safe, happy and eager.

The mountains are quiet.

Not a voice is heard.

The mountains I want to be;

Strong, yet so calm.

The sun glares overhead, jealous of their humbleness.

The mountains are my friend.
