Mouth Full of Lies

She walked into the room with tears in her eyes Slamming the front door from behind She did more than force herself to say goodbye His love for her was a mouth full of lies She said he was everything she ever dreamed of He told her she was all his and only his She said,” You’re the one I love” His love for her was a mouth full of lies Lie after lie is what he told her What she didn’t know was there was another girl For months she thought she was sure His love for her was a mouth full of lies She tried to give everything she had to him Months came and went The sky outside grew dim and dim His love for her was a mouth full of lies “What did I ever do to you?” was the last words she muttered She thought it all through, grabbed a knife and shuttered He came in to find her faced down on the floor His love for her was a mouth full of lies (poems go here)
