The Mouths

You want to see me fail,

But you will see me prevail.

You move and throw words that cut me like a knife.

That is all right, for I can handle myself in this fight.

You try and 'motivate' me, but when I turn you wish to see me fall.

This all in vain.

Because I am no longer afraid.

Your comments do not tear me down.

They add a layer of thick skin.

And let that sink in.

That when you try to so desperately pull me in.

I will be the one that comes out with a win.

I used to walk with a slouch.

But now a crouch and get ready to attack those who doubt me.

I am not afraid.

Words may cut deeper than a knife.

But my passion is stronger than a diamond glowing in the moonlight.
