Movement

As I move, I feel free. The pain suddenly vanishes inside of me. As my brown feet start to hit the floor on beat, I start to ponder what means the most to me. I think of the time when he lied to me and how much I now treasure honesty. I think of my best friend, she would do anything for me. How great is loyalty? I think of the strong woman, who raised me, I do all of this for my mommy. As I am twisting and turning and hitting every note, suddenly I slip and fall to my knees... It feels like failure, that's what I am most afraid of. I get up, hesitant to try again and then I start to move again, As I move, I feel free, the pain suddenly vanishes inside of me. Last night, I was watching this old tape, and the dancer, she danced a dance so great. I pictured it in my mind, closed my eyes and gave it a try, As I started to move, my mind wandered to a day in May filled with family, joy, bittersweetness, and degrees. Graduation is all I can see. What will I do, who will I be? My nerves feel like butterflies inside of me. The stress turns to pain and I stop to grab my head. Suddenly it is silent and then I hear a familiar melody. I have danced to this song since I was a child. As I lift my head to the sky, I feel a strange feeling. This is my ultimate healing. As I move, I feel free. The pain suddenly vanishes inside of me.
