The Movies
BANG!
A flash of light,
The sound of music.
This is what you've been waiting for.
The first glimpse of character,
the scenes full of color.
This is what inspires you.
The backgrouds and settings,
characters full of life.
This is what dreams are made of,
So hold on tight.
You've been staring at the awe-inspiring thing,
so life-like and still,
yet not one soul is there,
not a trace to be seen.
This is what you've dreamed of,
Since the day you first saw it.
Back in that dark room,
with the giant screen before you.
Hearing the laughter and chatter around you,
dreams of bringing that to life too.
All just to feel the reactions around you.
So days from now,
if you're still sitting there.
You'll be the one who causes the tears.
You'll be the one who brings out the laughter.
You'll be the one to cause the chatter.
Because just as you said back when you were small,
I'm gonna do this once I get older,
To inspire the people,
And continue the story that inspired me.
