Moviing on
I hope you closed the shades
Instead of watching
All the memories coming back to replay
All the scenes of me leaving
That night
I hope you tossed the key
That was meant just for me
I hoped you pulled the plug
That still connected me to your heart
as the monitors were beeping
I was silently screaming inside.
I hope when you close your eyes
I'm no more on your mind
And when you see me tonight
I hope that we both can tolerate
The coldness of our own hearts
I hope we have become strangers
To eachothers routine
Of our daily lives
And in doing so maybe it would be easier
To let go
All the feelings we have been heeding
This whole time
Everyday since our fight
Even though it was only a couple months ago
My heart is s till bleeding and tearing up my insides
And I was thinking, maybe, seeing you
One last time,
Would free you from my mind.
But it seems that our last fight
Is still fresh on your mind
And now we are just blinking back these tears
Trying not to cry
Because we know this is the
Last time we say goodbye
I hope you have a great life
As you walk away
Leaving me forever
Frozen in time.
