MOVING ON.

When I was left heartbroken and lost people began to tell me that the best way to move on was to get under someone else. I thought giving my body to someone else meant I was moving on from you. I thought giving my body to someone else meant I was closing the door to you. That being with someone else meant I could never go back to you and you could never come back to me. I felt good about my decisssios and had no guilt. Soon after I met someone kind, smart and everything you stopped being and began hating myself for it. I felt like I was cheating on you, that me moving on with someone emotionally was disrespectful to what we used to have. No one ever told me that getting undressed was easier than letting someone see your emotional scars.
