Moving Along

I watch the clock as time passes on,

Now I have to think about the time when I’m gone.

The childhood memories and friends left in the dust,

All fun things from the past only to be discussed.

To leave my family for about an eternity,

And persue my dreams at a university.

Thinking about being alone and having responsibilities,

Then when I have a degree and endless possibilities.

But then I finally return home and everything I missed,

Now it’s time to be an adult and childhood to be dismissed.

I don’t want to leave but it’s time to move along,

To go be an adult, independent and strong.
