moving forward
What if I just slip away,
Cause at the rate you’re going,
you’re digging your own grave.
I wish I could ignore it,
Because this pain is too great.
Back then I was young,
And I believed our love was fate.
But if it really was,
Then why is the smile I wear just so fake?
Even when i’m asleep,
I feel like I'm wide awake.
What the hell were you thinking?
I think I made a huge mistake.
Can someone hit pause?
I don't know how much more I can take.
Seriously, can we slow it down?
I think I'm gonna faint.
I need this to end,
And for us to go our separate ways.
Please don't contact me,
This is for your own sake.
The best for both of us is
To take a long ass break.
It's gotten to the point where
I dont recognize my own face.
But this doesn’t mean that
The world is gonna shake.
We just need our own time,
But keep in mind, this isn’t a race.
We moved forward way too fast,
So we need to go back, reset the pace.
Maybe we should see other people.
In this, we both should partake.
I won't judge you, or think of you differently.
I wont think of you as a snake.
We both need this,
We just need an escape.
Just think of this
As a time to reshape.
I only want what’s best for us
At the end of the day.
