Moving on, sort of.

Although your severe indignation has dissolved

A fraction of your disapproval tortures me

I am aware of my mistakes and the quantity of them

My mind is not ignorant of your disdain

You haunt me for every day of my unforgiving life

Nonetheless I am aimlessly wandering

Just floundering above your head

As well as you over mine

Enlivened by the idea that you may crave my presence

I am always hoping I will stumble into your path

And that maybe you won't cringe at the sound of my name

I constantly desire your name to appear on my caller ID

But just as your sentiment towards me

It is unknown

I always pray you will forget the harm I have done

However I realize this is merely my heart

And your mind has much more sense

Yet I will still attempt to reconcile

The absolute love and exuberance I felt

At the sound of your voice beckoning me

To once again be your companion

In the life long battle that is life itself
