Proverbs 4:18 New English Translation (NET Bible)

18 But the path of the righteous is like the bright morning light, growing brighter and brighter until full day.

“Growing up” what does it mean… Did it really start with a plea?

Who keeps track of it anyhow and why should it be important?

Somewhere in the past, it began with whoever brought this idea

Growing up in a world of children, born here and the imported

For goodness sake and someone else’s we travel together in force

All trying to figure where we’re going on the road where all reside

Some camp out without moving taking their time as they feel bored

And others always in a hurry like at the end all things will be right

Different folk with strange opinions as race and color don’t mean a thing

Some are writing and some singing, but most seem to be on the take

Some are moving hand in hand and others need to be carried in a sling

The moving cling to human wisdom and not the truth for Heaven’s sake
