Mr. Blue Eyes

Dear Mr. Blue Eyes,

The vulnerability that you bring out in me is unheard of

but it is a feeling I am slowly learning to love.

There’s no way you don’t see the effect you have on me

through the cloudy gray that somehow still reflects the sea.

It is possible that I don’t pull away

because I have too much to say.

However, the way your actions come across

leave me speechless and at a loss.

I’ll never understand what makes this friendship hard to resist,

that doesn’t stop me from being glad it exists.
