Mr. R

To a teacher, coach, friend, and mentor:

You introduced a world of truth and wisdom to twenty-three eager students,

Letting us in on the experiences of your life and the lessons learned.

You gave knowledge and the needed encouragement to an underdog team,

Leading us into a championship game,

But more so,

Into a greater understanding of the value of hard work and playing like a champion.

You were a friend to anyone who came to you with a difficult problem or unsolvable dilemma,

Reassuring us that a different perspective could make all the difference.

Greatest of all,

You are a mentor.

While I may not know to whom you are a mentor for,

I can guarantee you that you are mine.

Thank you for the endless memories, advice, and love.

Our relationship transcends time and will forever last.

To a teacher, coach, friend, and mentor:

Thank you.
