Mr. Talisman

Colossians 3:5

5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication,

uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

Let me dream oh Talisman! You are completely faceless

Many look at you in confused adoration

You started long ago when most folk were clueless

And all you’ve done up to now is demand attention

You framed an illusion of power and of greed

You taught that happiness easily can be bought

Now your intrusion has many on their feet

Waving hands and dancing in their thoughts

You had your subtle ways for years with no end

You ruled and directed organized confusion

In counting your days and knowing your very end

There’s no one to protect you from judgment’s conclusion
