Mr. Watson

The monitor is beeping

The frantic beeping, a constant reminder that I am failing;

I am losing him.

I am scared-shaking with trepidation.

Lost in my worry, I forget that I have others to help me

I have a team.

We are not trained, I know, but we are could do it.

We could save him, Mr. Watson- the man who is fading away on our table.

The monitor gets louder, so loud I cannot think.

That is what makes it more bearable, I cannot think!

My hands move without my persmission, my mouth screams out an order.

I do not remember how but the screeching finally ceased.

The room with the white walls and clorox smell was silent.

Then he took a breath, and soon another.

He was breathing-we saved him!

My future was solidified in that moment.

I had saved a life; I made a difference in the world

Mr. Watson had a second chance.

Fear no longer held me in its grasp,

For I had proved myself.

And I would never lost the faith that I gain in myself and my abilities.
