Ms.Teacher

She reads the PowerPoint slides

Words Without Meaning take up the empty white space.

Her voice drags on, the lack of inspiration intoxicating.

My being becomes hardened, shuts down to the repetitive onplay of foreign text.

Her voice becomes bored in the words it speaks-even hints that she is lost in the words herself.......

If I could somehow trade places with her,

Breathe Life into words of knowledge

Fill the students with breathtaking curiosity

Carry out the duties of a teacher

Upbring the future of America

With activities full of not only knowledge but understanding

With field trips that actually mean something

And with the excitement within myself

Make the World a Place of Understanding.

That is what I say to you,

Ms."Teacher".
