Muffled Cries

I hold you in my arms

Close to my heart because

I need you.

I hold you tight with my

Hands because I want you

To stay.

I need your warmth

Near me always because

Sometimes, I get

Scared.

You’re breaking apart

Inside your clothes as the

Months and years

Pass.

You’re fragile because

You’ve been here all these

Years and wiped away

All my

Tears.

So I cry for you.

I can’t give you away.

No one can take you from me.

I won’t let you go anywhere.

I love you because

You’re always there for

Me and you won’t ever leave

Me alone.

Because you’re soft,

Gentle, and always listening.

Because you are my Pillow.
